Toree 1 + 2

Sophia's review: "it's cute but -2 because I can't remember much and the colors kind of hurt my eyes" 8/10

Coltan's review: "For the price of less than a dollar on sale I couldn't be happier with a cute 3d platformer with smooth movement and tight controls. I thought the elements of horror were alright but never fully realized in both games and I did enjoy unlocking different characters and blasting through the game once more." 7/10

Portal

Sophia's review: "I didn't find Glados cool or funny she's like a quirky marvel quips character but the gameplay was very cool" 6/10

Coltan's Review: "This was the first game I ever played on the family computer after my dad's friend gave us a pirated copy of Serious Sam and Portal 1. I had so much trouble learning how to use WASD as a kid and wanted to use the arrow keys instead but they fought me on it and I slowly got more and more comfortable. As a very young kid I couldn't beat it until I got a copy of the orange box for 360 years later. It was the 1st puzzle game to hook me into it's world with it's wonderfully ominous atmosphere with the secret ratman scribblings in test chambers that made the world and facility feel so much bigger in scale to just what the protagonist experiences. Not to mention the satisfying gameplay loop of playing with portals that gradually introduce you to new elements in this short but tightly knit experience. Plus my cousin and I were obsessed with "The cake is a lie" gags as kids." 10/10

Dark Souls Remastered

Sophia's review "I was asleep the entire but 8 out of 10, the graphics weren't as good as 3 and Elden Ring I'm spoiled" 8/10

Coltan's review: "Yoddy yada this game cured my depression but the 2nd half stops this game from being a 10. I initially got this game for free on the xbox 360 around the time of the 8th generation of consoles. As a middle schooler in the 8th grade I gave the game a shot and struggled with the asylum demon before being stopped at the bridge in the undead burg with hollow soldiers throwing fire bombs from above. I got upset and shelved the game up intil 2018. I was over at a friend's house sleeping over and he got me to play it because it's his fav series of all time. He was giving me little bits of directions and tips and I made it so much farther than before. I got the halberd and found the magic of the shortcuts that all connect to each other. I was blown away after looping back to firelink shrine before taking on the bell gargoyle's. We stayed up until 4am trying to hold my shouts in everytime I got close to defeating the 2nd phase of the fight. I was hooked and decided to boot it back up on my xbox 360. 2nd time around I beat the asylum demon and the Taurus demon on the bridge first try with the help of the master key grabbing the gold pine resin and pulling off the dive attack I learned during the asylum demon. Every step into a new area was so exciting because I had to really take my time and use every advantage I could figure out. I immediately called my friend up when I rung the 1st bell and finally stepped into new territory. The world felt so huge in scale thanks to the major lack of loading screens between areas. I was sick for a couple of weeks during my grad year with chest issues that came around a time when I was at my lowest emotionally. Going through the 2nd half of the game the first time still had that magic but upon further playthroughs I end up dreading lost izalith as it is clearly a rushed and unfinished area compared to the rest of the game. Seriously fuck the bed of chaos all my homies hate the bed of chaos! Despite that this is the souls game I've played through the most and even beaten the wonderful mod Daughters of Ash." 9/10

Celeste

Sophia's review: "I really like the music and I thought the story was interesting. The only thing is it's a game I don't think I would play myself" 8/10

Coltan's review: "Up there as one of my favorite 2d platformers ever. Another one of those titles I put off playing for forever and immediately fell in love with. The controls are so fluid and every mistake I made felt like my own fault. The soundtrack was beautiful all throughout the game as I have multiple songs saved on spotify for casual listening. With cute pixel art and a easy to follow plot with deep character depth I couldn't ask for more. One of the things that really hooked me into this game was the endgame content. It was so exciting to have more content to put all of the skills I learned throughout the game to the test. It always bothered me in other games where you get a new ability or powerful weapon at the end of the story. Sure there is a new game+ mode in a lot of titles but it isn't the same as having bonus content to sink your teeth into that's completely optional. I still haven't fully beaten chapter 9 as I lost some progress due to a power outage and haven't come back in a while but I always have more content waiting for me. I loved this game so much I bought a GBA cartridge of the pico-8 demake of celeste just to own something physical" 9.5/10

Marble Blast Ultra + Gold

Sophia's review: "adds point for creativity because I liked the texture mods" 9/10

Coltan's review: "Childhood classic on the xbox 360 arcade that started my obsession with 3d physic platformers. this game was taken down for so long so I couldn't relive it for almost a decade." 9/10

Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated

Sophia's review "I was asleep for most of it and I slept pretty well" 7/10

Coltan's review: "Playing the game casually it was a fun trip down memory lane as I grew up with a friend who had this game on the ps2 but I owned the movie game. The most fun I had with this game was the speedrun route using every sequence break! There is a great tutorial on youtube breaking it down here and I followed every strat at my own pace as my gf slept through the whole thing." 7.5/10
