Marble it up Ultra

Sophia's review: "I really liked the sound of the marble but the music got repetitive. The levels were interesting and the secrets were well hidden." 9/10

Coltan's review: "This game took over my life for a good chunk of 2023. As a spiritual successor to Marble blast it nails the wonderful physics although feeling much heavier in this iteration. This revamp of the first marble it up brought us more levels that were all addicting to play and race for the Diamond time. This is one of those titles that is best enjoyed going for the minimum gold times or better yet Diamond! What kept me playing this game so much was the leaderboard that featured the top 5 runners with their time and best of all a replay. Shortly after getting my diamond time I would watch the 5th fastest run to see their route, be amazed at the skip or level of play and then spend the next couple of hours trying to recreate it. My favorite level in this entire game was 4-1 Tether which at a certain point and time I was ranked #4 in the world after grinding everyday after wor for a good week or so. The more you read these reviews the more you'll realize how much I love games where I get to shave off milliseconds off of a personal best time. For the 100+ hours I've played I did slowly get sick of the soundtrack and started making my own playlists but that's not to take anything away from the soundtrack as it is fitting for the aesthetics but not my exact cup of tea. This game is what Banana Blitz should've been as it is a 3d platformer with ball rolling physics and jumping. Anotherthing to mention was the joy of finding the secrets in each level that would unlock customizable attire for your marble ball like hats, particle trails and marble textures. It was a nice mix of puzzle solving and exploration especially on stages with gravity modifiers to change your orientation. Depending on what platform you play on there is also a steam workshop with custom levels to further grind and play. You already know there is a mario 64 recreation on there." 9.5/10

Tony Hawk Underground 1

Sophia's review: "I thoroughly enjoyed it and I had so much fun watching and the music was fun and the insane physics were amusing to me. It was the one with the dunce cap and skeleton right?" 10/10

Coltan's Review: "The first video game that introduced me to skateboarding which was one of my main hobbies growing up. I adored the story with so many iconic moments such as the Mctwist over the helicopter in Hawaii or being stranded in Russia thanks to your shitty friend Eric Sparrow who ends up being our main Antagonist. As a kid finally reaching the cutscene where you knock his lights out and recover your vhs tape with Mctwist on film. As a young kid my fav titlws all had customization at the forefront and THUG 1 delivers on that with the create a skater, create a trick, and the create a park. With plenty of secrets to discover around the multitude of levels there is so much content to chew on. Childhood classic." 8/10

Tony Hawk Undergorund 2

Sophia's review "It went by too quickly and the Bigfoot scared the shit out of me it was so creepy." 7/10

Coltan's review: "As a kid I thought this game was better than the 1st one because jackass was so big back then. Playing through it recently I love the levels just as much but the story isn't nearly as engrossing and went by so much faster. For Sophia and I's playthrough we made it to the credits in 2 sittings" 7/10

Burnout 3

Sophia's review: "Great game and I could see myself playing I love crashing cars what can I say" 10/10

Coltan's review: "Best racing game of all time I could always load this game up at any time and get the same enjoyment I did the first time I played in my family computer room on a tiny crt television. I always loved the feeling of tapping the brakes and starting a drift around a sharp corner while ramming your opponent into oncoming traffic. To me it is the perfect gameplay loop for an arcade racer and nothing has come close in my opinion to replicating this feeling. Also the killer soundtrack that introduced me to My chemical romance and funeral for a friend which ended up on my spotify wrapped 2023 as my most played song of that year." 10/10

Super Mario 64

Sophia's review: "The graphics were lacking like seriously what were they thinking? No like seriously ahh yeah 5/10 I didn't grow up playing it so I didn't feel the nostalgia of growing up with it"" 5/10

Coltan's review: "Childhood classic. One of the first video games I could remember playing as a kid besides Dora and teletubbies on the ps1. There was so much magic crammed into the castle's walls that I easily come back to play through it fully bi-yearly. Also the community surrounding the game has kept my youtube rotted brain entranced from all o the theories and glitches and rom hacks. To jokingly talk about the "Every copy of mario 64 is personalized" theory I can recall a false memory that I swore was real for years but I could never recreate it. In the castle garden with the star fountain I remember sitting up in my parent's bedroom trying to jump into the star and being transported to a bowser stage of sorts. In my head it is so vivid but I know it's not real as games have been decoded and pulled apart compared to 20 something years ago. Also I love the ugly graphics and the limitations it brought." 9/10

Spark the electric Jester 2+3

Sophia's review "5 out of 10 for that fuck ass brown jacket it loses so many points for that fuck ass brown jacket" 5/10

Coltan's review: "If this was a sonic game it would be a 9/10 but the characters and story hide and whimper in the shadow of it's inspiration. The gameplay feels incredible though and I love the level design." 6/10
